The Host Home Family Recruiter is responsible for recruiting, screening and enrolling Host Home families primarily in the Winston Salem triad area, and or Mecklenburg/Raleigh regions and is based in the Winston Salem or surrounding area.
Essential Functions:
1. Represent Lutheran Services Carolinas professionally in the community.
2. Develop and execute an annual promotional plan for Host Home families.
3. Promote Host Homes to individuals and groups in targeted regions.
4. Utilize marketing and sales approach established by LSC.
5. Document all contacts and maintain organized contact list.
6. Seek out and identify potential Host Parents in targeted regions.
7. Educate potential Host Home caregivers for home and community-based programming (HCBS) on various levels.
8. Screen potential Host Home caregivers for LSC appropriateness.
9. Partner with team members to enroll screened Host Home families for Host Home programs.
10. Maintain excellent customer relations with all contacts.
11. Follow all Lutheran Services Carolinas policies and procedures.
12. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience: Two years experience in marketing/ sales/ public relations/ communication. Knowledge of foster care a plus.
Specific skills/abilities: Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups or crowds. Must have excellent communication skills –written and verbal (one-on-one, groups and public speaking). Possess strong promotional and advertising skills. Be highly organized, goal/productive driven and self-motivated. Well-versed in various levels and requirements of foster care, or ability to learn them in detail. Minimum of 21 years of age and must possess a valid driver’s license.

7. Minimum lift and carry requirement in a task of 25 pounds.
