Job description

Overview:

IDC is seeking a  highly analytical Contract Pricing Lead.   As a Pricing Lead contractor, you will play a pivotal role in executing high-impact pricing initiatives that directly influence IDC's revenues, profitability and market position. The role will be instrumental in shaping pricing decisions at the highest levels. This short-term, contract-based opportunity is ideal for an experienced pricing professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.  This role is a 3 month contract with the possibility to extend to 6 months.  This will be at an a hourly rate of $90hr- $130/hr at a max of  37.50 hour work week.

Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us realize both short- and mid-term growth objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic pricing initiatives to drive revenue growth and business value for IDG
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and other cross-functional leadership team, ensuring pricing strategies align across the organization.
  • Dive deep into pricing data, customer insights, and market trends to develop informed, competitive pricing models
  • Analyze large datasets containing transactional data as well as customer behavior, and market trends to generate actionable insights
  • Lead price simplification and customer price remediation projects to optimize pricing efficiency and drive profitable growth
  • Create compelling presentations using PowerPoint to influence executive decision-making
  • Oversee pricing strategy implementation and ensure adherence to policies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA or MS) is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in pricing strategy, pricing analytics, or revenue management within a consulting or B2B environment.
  • Proven experience in SaaS, technology, manufacturing, or professional services industries 
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint proficiency for financial modeling and executive presentations. Comfortable working with large datasets and translating insights into clear, executive-friendly presentations
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, R, or Python for data visualization and analytics is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset. Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute pricing strategies.
  • Ability to extract, interpret, and apply data-driven insights
  • Track record of streamlining complex pricing structures
  • Experience presenting findings to influence leadership decisions through data-backed storytelling.
  • Experience in a consulting firm or a fast-paced environment: Background in B2B and/or technology industry is preferred
  • This position may be 100% remote in an approved US location. East Coast preferred.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. The expected total hourly compensation for this contract role, depending on location and experience, is between $90.00 USD and $130.00USD an hour.
