You are also able to take ownership of an area and lead the design process from beginning to end, including collaborating with our Product Managers during the discovery phase to understand product market fit, working with our Engineering teams to make sure that your design solutions are built on appropriate technology and delivered on time, partnering with our UX Research and marketing teams to test and iterate, and tracking post-release performance for making iterative improvements.

A core part of Snap’s success has been our focus on customer-centric design. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Marketing Managers, Researchers, and our Engineering teams to build solutions that meet the needs both of our customers and internal stakeholders while delivering on business goals.

The Job…

  • Be a steward of the collaboration cadence facilitating a stellar inclusion model with various cross functional teams throughout the PDLC (Product Development Life Cycle).
  • Ask smart questions, take risks, and enjoy championing new ideas while not being afraid to embrace and learn from failure to evolve forward.
  • Collaborate with Snap's talented and experienced UX Research and Design partners
  • Participate in design reviews with the UX team to receive and give constructive feedback.
  • Become the subject matter for a product or feature, working with your Product partner to make sure the entire E2E experience is accounted for and optimized for the customer
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ambitious and passionate about all things UX in design and innovation
  • As an individual you have a positive, collaborative attitude that enjoys a good laugh. We enjoy working together.
  • Proficiency in Figma, or other design/prototyping software
  • Utilize and contribute to Snap’s living design system and pattern library
  • Display a high level of understanding of industry standard “motion” design principles to add delight to our product’s micro interactions.

Expected outcomes…

  • Be instrumental in building a robust, lean, and scalable design ecosystem.
  • Find the sweet spot, design a transparent, smart, delightful, and seamless experience that is frictionless and with no failures so that users feel safe and confident in all stages of their digital journey.
  • Develop a design paradigm across all product experiences and work to maximize adoption by clearly understanding the customer needs/pain points.
  • Apply design thinking strategies to help cross-functional teams collaborate and co- create amazing product experiences.
  • Communicate your ideas visually with user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • With your strong verbal and written communication skills, share your solutions with your team and larger audiences and apply feedback as you iterate.
  • Armed with your strong sense of aesthetics, you’ll demonstrate your obsession with product quality.
  • Ship, build, test and iterate on stellar interactive experiences that simplify complexity.
  • Have deep expertise and knowledge of your product area.
  • Operate successfully in partnering with design, product, engineering, marketing, and customer service partners to nurture an extremely collaborative and iterative working relationship.
  • Mentor, coach and support junior design staff and be instrumental in their artifact crafting cadence and career growth.

You…

  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, UX or Visual Design, Industrial Design, or Psychology
