We are seeking a Speaker & Program Coordinator to join the team and contribute to the successful facilitation of event content that equip director-level and above marketers with forward-thinking, strategic insights they need to drive business growth today.  

  

The Speaker & Program Coordinator helps produce high-impact two-day event agendas for 6+ in-person U.S. conferences. They’ll be responsible for managing all logistical communication with speakers and assist with speaker recruitment and topical programming needs, ensuring each event delivers valuable speaker and attendee experiences.  

Digital Summit has welcomed brand leaders from Instagram, NBA, Southwest, etc. to major social media influencers to innovative regional organizations and many others driving change to its stage. This is a fully remote position, and you will report to the Director of Content.

Responsibilities:

Speaker Management  

 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for speakers, managing event logistics with excellent communication and customer service to ensure a seamless and rewarding experience. 
  • Send clear and detailed email communications to speakers, providing necessary presentation information to ensure they are fully prepared. 
  • Oversee logistical aspects for speakers, including travel coordination and reimbursement, presentation materials, speaking schedules, etc. 
  • Regularly update event websites with the latest speaker and session information using Swoogo. 
  • Collect speaker assets, including bios, headshots, session details and presentation decks  
  • Work with AV team to ensure all speaker presentations and tech requirements are properly set up. 
  • Provide speakers with promotional materials and resources to help them spread the word about the event. 

 

Speaker Recruitment: 

  

  • Research and identify engaging speakers, who lead exciting marketing work at national and local brands and can address the needs of today’s marketing leaders, through competitive events, industry publications, social feeds, and other resources.   
  • Help identify industry experts, brand executives, social media influencers, etc. who reflect today’s dynamic marketing and cultural landscape for engaging keynote sessions.  
  • Use AI, emerging tools, and industry publications to stay informed on the latest marketing trends and evolving needs of marketing leaders, ensuring speaker selections are relevant and impactful. 

  

Topical Programming: 

  

  • Review and edit session abstracts so they effectively convey strategic leadership insights to prospective and registered attendees.  
  • Review speakers’ presentation decks to ensure they deliver attendee value and are aligned with event expectations.  
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing & advertising, communications or a related field.   
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the marketing or event industry.  
  • Demonstrated experience with project planning and logistics coordination.   
  • Ability to rapidly learn about new industries and trends through in-depth research. 
  • Excellent communicator and passionate about building and maintaining relationships. 
  • Outstanding clear, concise and persuasive writing skills.  
  • Strong contributor in a high-paced environment. 
  • Travel to 3-5 events per year. 
  • A keen interest in the marketing industry and staying updated on trends through podcasts, newsletters, and industry resources is a plus!
