About the Role

Roar Apex is looking for a skilled Shopify Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing and optimising Shopify stores, customising themes, and integrating third-party apps to create seamless e-commerce experiences. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Shopify development, a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies, and a passion for delivering high-performing e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customise, and optimise Shopify themes and templates to enhance user experience and functionality.
• Build and integrate custom Shopify apps to meet specific business needs.
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement innovative e-commerce solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of Shopify stores.
• Optimise website performance, including loading speed and SEO best practices.
• Integrate and manage third-party apps, particularly Klaviyo, for marketing automation and customer engagement.
• Work with cloud infrastructure to ensure scalable and secure e-commerce solutions.
• Stay updated on Shopify’s new features, tools, and industry trends to apply best practices.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability in all projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Shopify Engineer or similar role with a strong portfolio of Shopify projects.
• Proficiency in front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
• Experience with Shopify API and app integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Klaviyo (3P integration) for marketing automation.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and scalable e-commerce hosting solutions.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for Shopify stores.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a remote work environment.
