About our technology 

Salesforce is one of, if not, the biggest Sales CRM platforms in the world. 

Our Salesforce App pushes our market leading Quote & Order functionality into the Salesforce platform. We leverage the lead & opportunity capabilities of the Salesforce platform to deliver a seamless user experience and streamline the sales journey. 

Effective testing is crucial for our success. We utilize automation extensively for both UI and REST API testing, significantly improving test coverage and efficiency.  

Using Cucumber, we create automation scripts that follow the behavior-driven development (BDD) methodology. This approach allows us to write tests in a straightforward, human-readable format, promoting better understanding and collaboration across the team. 

Our automation scripts are managed using Git and undergo peer review before being used to test our Salesforce app. 

About the role 

Joining our team as a Senior Test Automation Engineer you will collaborate with our cross-functional team to effectively test features/technology for the CSG Quote & Order Salesforce application to maintain & improve quality standards and help automate our testing processes. 

In your first 90 days, you’ll get comfortable with our system, join a squad, build strong relationships with the team, and get involved in new feature development to deliver high quality outcomes for our customers. 

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer (SALESFORCE) | PRODUCT R&D, INNOVATION & OWNERSHIP who will:

• Compose complex test plans, execute tests, document the results and understand the output. 

• Use the latest tools like Karate (API), Cypress (UI) and k6 (Performance) to accelerate our test cycles. 

• Work to connect our automation tools into our CI/CD pipelines. 

• Participate in agile ceremonies such as planning, reviews, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, etc. 

• Be part of a multi-skill squad with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers and other Software Testers. 

• Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and trends to keep us at the forefront of innovation and productivity. 

• Lead small groups of testers as per project needs.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

• 5+ years of Software Test Engineer experience or someone with software development experience who is looking for a test engineering role. 

• Knowledge in software testing; research, design, methodologies/processes, implementation and documentation. 

• Experience of one or more programming languages (preferably JavaScript/Nodejs). 

• Experience with test automation: Writing and maintaining automation test scripts 

• Highly effective at communicating in English, experience collaborating across multiple teams and a strong comprehension of written/verbal material. 

• Bonus points if you are familiar with: Cypress, Cucumber & Karate DSL. 

• Big bonus points if you have experience in using or testing Salesforce Applications!

The Quote & Order team does not maintain a dedicated office space, so your position will be 100% remote with the exception of several in-person workshops during the year (in Bali – see below – and Melbourne).
