Job description

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Ingenium-Radience Analyst to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance business processes and technical expertise in the Ingenium system. The successful candidate will possess a strong blend of technical and business acumen, excellent leadership abilities, a demonstrated history of delivering high-quality software, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Should be able to perform Scrum master role, demonstrating a strong understanding of Scrum principles and practices. Responsibilities include facilitating all Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective), coaching the development team on self-organization and cross-functionality, identifying and removing impediments, protecting the team from distractions, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Manage a team of software engineers, overseeing the development of software products and solutions. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring successful project completion and customer satisfaction. 
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members for their professional growth, conducting performance evaluations and career development planning. 
  • Assist in formulating and implementing the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic planning and decision-making. 
  • Lead technical discussions and design reviews, ensuring software architecture and design are sound. 
  • Ensure that all software products meet high standards of quality, reliability, and performance. 
  • Continuously evaluate and improve software development processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality. 
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues that could impact project timelines. 
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the team. 
  • Provide leadership and direction to the software engineering team, including training, and mentoring team members including other essential work for successful execution of the project. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Typically, 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 8+ years in a similar role in software engineering. 
  • Previous experience on projects related to RADIENCE, PATHFINDER whether it involves implementation, upgrade, transformation or enhancement.  
  • Ability to demonstrate practical knowledge of RADIENCE, PATHFINDER products and its functionality within business processes.  
  • Understanding and experience with all stages of the RADIENCE, PATHFINDER product’s project lifecycle, from inception to deployment and maintenance.  
  • Understanding the architecture of RADIENCE, PATHFINDER, and hands-on experience in developing within this framework.  
  • Proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding desired business outcomes through modifications to RADIENCE, PATHFINDER, and integrated software applications.  
  • RADIENCE expert level experience is a must.  
  • PATHFINDER SME or Functional Level experience is must
  • Good to have INGENIUM working level experience 
  • Good to have ProductXpress working level experience 
  • Familiarity with various life insurance products such as whole life, term, disability, universal life, wealth, and health products.  
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, including project and/or team management, problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Proficiency in planning, prioritizing, and executing work, as well as identifying issues and providing timely solutions.  
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices. Proven ability to lead and deliver software projects effectively. Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies, strong programming and debugging skills. 
  • Excellent communication and team management skills. 
  • Previous experience working within an Agile environment, implying familiarity with Agile principles and methodologies.  
  • COBOL, JCL, DB2, SQL, VSAM, REXX, CICS, MQ Series.  
  • Hands on experience with Windows/Unix/AIX OS platforms      

Other Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in a related field is a plus 
  • Relevant certifications or training a plus
