Description

Position Summary

The Global NAL will provide access to telehealth registered nurses for triage services, self-care advice, and general health inquiries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The NAL also offers customer service and care coordination services to include, provider locator support, specified military treatment facility appointing services, urgent care referral submissions, and customized military treatment facility transfers to support the military treatment facility’s capability for eligible MHS beneficiaries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supervisory healthcare roles, especially in call centers or telehealth positions with strong leadership and communication skills in implementing programs and projects.



Schedule

  • This position is full time 40 hours/week with a schedule of Monday through Friday day shift. However, on-call is required. 
  • This position is remote eligible if you live in one of the US states or Washington DC. 



Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively with other providers, nurses, customer service associates, and other staff utilizing remote and telehealth capabilities. 
  • Provide feedback about opportunities to improve the quality of care and operational processes.
  • Perform audits and related functions in compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Be comfortable working remotely in a virtual team setting.
  • Provide expertise on electronic medical records. 
  • Provide guidance to nursing staff or patients directly within the military health systems nurse advice line protocols and capabilities. 
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical practice, with specific expertise in telehealth, nurse advice lines, or remote clinical consultations. 
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty, such as family medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine or other fields pertinent to telehealth and clinical advice. 
  • Possesses an active, unrestricted medical license in any state or Washington DC. 
  • Ability to pass any credentialing or background checks as applicable by contracting office. 
  • US Citizenship required. 


This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
