results-driven Country Manager, Nigeria to oversee operations, drive business growth, and 
strengthen Africhange’s market presence in Nigeria.


Job Overview

The Country Manager, Nigeria will be responsible for managing all aspects of Africhange’s 
operations in Nigeria, including business strategy, regulatory compliance, partnerships, sales, 
marketing, customer experience, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will be a 
seasoned leader with deep knowledge of Nigeria’s fintech and remittance industry, capable of 
driving operational excellence and market expansion while ensuring compliance with local 
regulations. 


Job Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership & Market Growth 
    • Craft and implement a strategic roadmap that aligns with Africhange’s global vision and 
    local market dynamics.  
    • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive customer acquisition and 
    revenue growth. 
    • Define and implement go-to-market strategies, ensuring strong brand positioning in 
    Nigeria. 
    • Act as the primary representative of Africhange in Nigeria, building relationships with 
    regulators, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders. 
    • Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and insights to inform strategic 
    decision-making. 
  2. Operational & Financial Management 
    • Oversee all operations in Nigeria, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance with 
    local laws. 
    • Develop and manage the country’s P&L, budget, and financial forecasting to ensure 
    sustainable growth. 
    • Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize operational expenses and maximize 
    profitability. 
    • Work closely with the global leadership team to align Nigeria’s operations with 
    Africhange’s broader objectives. 
  3. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management 
    • Ensure full compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other relevant 
    regulatory bodies. 
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulators, ensuring Africhange meets 
    all legal requirements. 
    • Develop risk management frameworks to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational 
    risks. 
    • Stay updated on evolving regulations in the fintech and remittance industry and ensure 
    the company remains compliant. 
  4. Business Development & Partnerships 
    • Identify and establish partnerships with banks, financial institutions, payment service 
    providers, and strategic stakeholders to expand Africhange’s reach. 
    • Lead negotiations and agreements with key partners to enhance service offerings and 
    market penetration. 
    • Collaborate with global teams to explore new product opportunities tailored to the 
    Nigerian market. 
  5. Marketing, Brand Awareness & Customer Experience 
    • Oversee marketing and growth initiatives to strengthen Africhange’s brand presence in 
    Nigeria. 
    • Develop and execute customer acquisition campaigns to drive engagement and retention. 
    • Ensure that customer experience is optimized through seamless transactions, high 
    service standards, and effective support. 
    • Monitor customer feedback, identify pain points, and drive initiatives to enhance 
    satisfaction and loyalty. 
  6. Leadership & Team Development 
    • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing local team to support business 
    objectives. 
    • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and teamwork within the 
    Nigerian operations. 
    • Implement KPIs to track performance, measure success, and drive continuous 
    improvement. 
    • Act as a mentor and coach to develop leadership within the team. 


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a 
    related field.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in fintech, payments, banking, remittance, or 
    financial services.
  • Proven track record of scaling operations, driving revenue growth, and managing P&L 
    responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian financial ecosystem, including regulations, 
    customer behaviour, and industry dynamics.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, banks, and financial institutions in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, driving operational efficiency, 
    and executing business strategies.

    competitive fintech space.
  • Deep understanding of remittance, payments, and cross-border financial transactions.

    Ability to streamline operations for efficiency, cost reduction, and scalability.
  • Regulatory & Risk Management:
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian regulatory requirements in the fintech and remittance 
    space.
  • Experience in implementing risk management frameworks to mitigate operational and 
    compliance risks.
  • Marketing & Customer Growth:
  • Proven ability to develop and execute customer acquisition, retention, and engagement 
    strategies.
  • Experience in brand positioning and marketing campaigns to enhance market presence.
  • Leadership & People Management:
  • Ability to recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage internal and external 
    stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
    Adept at identifying challenges and opportunities, implementing solutions that drive 
    business success. 
    Ability to navigate complex business environments and adapt to market dynamics.
