Job description

As a Human Resources Intern, you will support the Human Resources Department with various projects, research, and tasks within the HR field.

This is a Binghamton home office position.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities:

Support the research and implementation of various HR projects and initiatives.
Assist with the planning and creation of training materials.
Assist with the planning and preparation of employee engagement initiatives and events.
Assist with research, update and development of HR policies and procedures.
Support community volunteering involvement initiatives.
Help develop content for internal communications.
Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
Other duties as needed or assigned.

Required skills & experience:

Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or a related field.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong demonstration of professional skills and work ethic.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
High level of customer service with the ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the organization.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work between 20 and 30 hours per week.

Education Required: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business or a related degree. Two years of completed of college coursework required. Completion of three years of college coursework preferred.

Pay Range: $17.00 to $21.00 hourly

The starting pay rate for this role is based on a variety of relevant factors, including location, education, experience, and skills.
