Job description

 

As a Human Resources Intern, you will support the Human Resources Department with various projects, research, and tasks within the HR field. 

This is a Binghamton home office position.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Support the research and implementation of various HR projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with the planning and creation of training materials.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of employee engagement initiatives and events.
  • Assist with research, update and development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support community volunteering involvement initiatives. 
  • Help develop content for internal communications.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.

Required skills & experience: 

  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or a related field. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Strong demonstration of professional skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High level of customer service with the ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the organization. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work between 20 and 30 hours per week.

Education Required: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business or a related degree. Two years of completed of college coursework required. Completion of three years of college coursework preferred.

Pay Range: $17.00 to $21.00 hourly

The starting pay rate for this role is based on a variety of relevant factors, including location, education, experience, and skills.
