Job Description
As a medical receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and supporting our care team. If you love helping people and have great communication skills, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Greet patients kindly on inbound calls
Look up patient medical records in our secure system
Schedule doctor visits for existing patients
Confirm health insurance details and assist with insurance authorizations and verifications
Answer basic medical questions including medication refill requestions based on office protocols
Transfer or create tasks to office staff for new patient inquiries and medical questions
Requirements
1+ years experience as a medical receptionist
Familiar with common medical terms, health insurance, and the process of obtaining authorizations for procedures and/or injections
Warm, patient-focused phone manner
Able to quickly learn new software
Fluent in Englishand Spanish
