Our team ensures machine reliability and uptime through a strategic service approach, making a significant impact on our customers' operational success.

We are seeking a Fabricator Equipment Technician (FET) to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering our on-site service strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for executing preventative maintenance programs, providing expert mechanical service, refurbishing and installing equipment, and continuously developing your expertise in the latest machine and software technology.

About You;

  • Deliver the preventative maintenance program as per customer agreements, ensuring all services are well-documented and aligned with safety and end-of-life (EOL) considerations.
  • Accurately diagnose and repair machine breakdowns, providing clear root-cause analysis and specifying necessary parts and service time.
  • Offer technical support to Pryda fabricators, addressing customer concerns with innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Conduct refurbishment of existing equipment and oversee the installation of new machinery.
  • Collaborate with the Equipment Coordinator to develop project quotations and execute installation and prototype development within budget and schedule.
  • Stay updated with the latest machine and automation software advancements, assisting customers in optimising production output through training and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and facilitate Pryda Certified Equipment Technician training programs for customers and team members.

What We’re Looking For;

  • A relevant engineering, trade, or software qualification.
  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing equipment service role.
  • Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft, LogMeIn Rescue, and TeamViewer.
  • Proven ability to build strong professional relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Willingness to travel and spend time away from home as required.
  • Electrical disconnect/reconnect qualifications (Highly desirable).

In order to apply for this role, it is essential you reside in Australia and have full-working rights.
