This is a remote position.

About the Position

This is an incredible work opportunity in a fast-paced, innovative company that puts the patient first. We hire clinical care professionals who deliver medical care using telemedicine modalities including video, phone, connected devices, and asynchronous messages (chat/email).

As a Genetic Counselor, you will be helping our patients determine how their genes operate, what areas need improvement, and provide a roadmap on how to optimize them. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, physicians, and dietitians to provide guidance and support through the processes of nutrition analysis, weight analysis, and developing precision nutrition plans.


Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and interpret genetic test results and communicate findings with patients.

  • Recommend lifestyle changes, supplements, and dietary changes in relation to personalized test results.

  • Analyze patient genes to provide insights into how their body processes food and absorbs nutrients.

  • Offer recommendations for supplements and exercises in relation to weight and nutrition analysis.

  • Document in patient charts and develop follow-up recommendations for patients; documents cases and maintains appropriate records, ensuring confidentiality.

  • Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to determine appropriate course of action for treatment

  • Provide outstanding service and care to patients who are seeking treatment for genetic therapy



Requirements
  • Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or Human Genetics from an accredited program

  • Board certification through the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG)

  • Must possess active, non-restrictive genetic counselor licenses in a MINIMUM of 15 states REQUIRED

  • Minimum two years experience as a practicing genetic counselor required

  • Strong knowledge of genetics and hereditary conditions, particularly related to cancer preferred 

  • Knowledge of genetic counseling protocols preferred 

  • Competent in providing patient education at every visit 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Above-average comfort with technology and assisting patients with troubleshooting technical difficulties that may occur in the home environment

  • Timely and professional

  • Telemedicine or virtual care experience a plus



Benefits

$40 per 60 minute consult; $20 per 30 minute consult

This is a 1099 position for 10+ hrs per week

Hours of operation: M-F 7a-7p CST
