Position Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Cloud Disaster Recovery Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding Deltek’s Global Cloud Disaster Recovery requirements. This role involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of Deltek’s Global Cloud Disaster Recovery Program. The incumbent will work with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success and effectiveness of the disaster recovery program, which includes execution in the following areas:

Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with key stakeholders in the development, maintenance, and exercising disaster recovery plans. Gain alignment and deliver on commitments.
• Manage the DR test schedule and facilitate regular functional and tabletop exercises of critical products and services; manage all phases of planning, test execution, and post-test activity.
• Develop test results and identify areas for improvement; document and implement necessary changes to the DRP based on test results and emerging threats.
• Maintain documentation of disaster recovery program processes and incident response protocols.
• Participate in regulatory compliance requirements such as: (ISO, PCI, or other industry compliance certifications).
• Collaborate with IT, security, and other relevant teams to ensure alignment between disaster recovery and security strategies.
• Provide training and awareness to employees on disaster recovery and business continuity procedures and enhance preparedness.
• Assist in the coordination and response efforts to disruptions and events across the Global Cloud organization as needed.
• Continuous improvement: stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving threats to continually improve disaster recovery capabilities.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience (Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business continuity, or relevant work experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in IT disaster recovery and business continuity or related roles.
• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent BCDR certification preferred.
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity principles and guidelines.
• Knowledge of on-premise and cloud architecture and recovery strategies that meet RTO/RPO SLAs.
• General technical knowledge of IT systems, applications, and networking for On-Premise and Cloud environments, such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience creating reports that include project metrics, KPIs’ and strategic initiatives to drive and track progress.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Fusion, or other BCM tools preferred.
• Excellent people management skills, including communication, interpersonal, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, and agility; adept at managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Strong problem-solving skills
