Position at Thrive Pet Healthcare

** This position will ideally be based in Austin, TX out of our headquarters office and be hybrid in office 2-days a week. Individuals need to be willing to commute to Downtown Austin 2 days a week. Candidates based in other geographies across the U.S. will also be considered for a remote role. **

Job Summary:
As a Thrive Vetspire Program Lead you will be responsible for supporting the Thrive Vetspire Program Manager role, while working with Thrive’s internal stakeholders as well as the Vetspire team to drive efficient business outcomes. Your primary areas of focus in this position are internal Thrive prioritization, Boutique group requests, optimization, and implementation. Additionally, your focus will be supporting collaboration efforts for new development from practical user perspectives regarding new development of the Vetspire platform. Proactive and two-way communications are key to building and keeping positive working relationships among all Thrive departments and the Vetspire team.

Driving a clear understanding of Thrives Vetspire initiatives and requirements for the organization is paramount to efficiency. Functions of this role will include but not be limited to, Org settings and Boutique group management, collaboration of future Vetspire development, Thrives ‘One Way’ functionality within Vetspire, and upcoming Vetspire Implementation needs.

Championing organizational and Vetspire workflows and functionality relating to Thrive hospital and support office needs is paramount. Application of veterinary industry knowledge is equally important. This role will be responsible for compiling user requirements to bring awareness and offer technological solution collaboration to each business need.

The Thrive Vetspire Program Lead will work closely with Boutique groups/hospitals to ensure a full understanding of Thrive PIMS needs and relay requirements to the Vetspire teams. Must be someone who loves to innovate and find solutions. Need to diplomatically share Boutique’s pioneering ideas with the Vetspire team and stand up for what the groups believe in. Your role will be to bring our boutique groups together, understand everyone’s needs, prioritize solutions, and minimize resource overlaps to maximize business outcomes.
 
It’s important to understand that Boutique is a unique group with diverse needs, and you must be willing to voice this when necessary. Recognizing that what works for other groups may not always fit Boutique groups is crucial. Boutique’s diversity is their strength, and they need someone who can embrace and champion it.

Responsibilities:
Leading with Your Head
•    Lead and be accountable for efficiencies around all Boutique Vetspire programs or projects by meeting or exceeding in areas of communication plans, timelines, and program completion success rates.
•    Communicate and share knowledge of overlapping business needs, challenges, and proactively problem solve through astute attention to detail and continual initiative analysis.
•    Liaise with departments to understand business objectives, needs, and priorities to align Vetspire initiatives accordingly. Ensure all departments stay informed and aligned.
•    Make decisions through inclusive contributions of others and coordinate business needs while making sure all stakeholders receive status updates.
•    Prioritization analysis and acting through gathering requirements and deliverable needs for Thrive and Vetspire teams. Adhere to designated and aligned program path plans and mitigate issues or delays that invariably arise.
•    Work closely with Thrive’s Vetspire Program Manager for current and future scope.
•    Supporting the organization’s goals and objectives.

Leading with Your Heart
•    Collaborate with Thrive Program Manager to determine project scope and vision.
•    Drive successful communications, change, and implementation through recognized change management methodologies.
•    Drive priority alignment with collaborating with the Thrive Program Manager for new development for Thrive Vetspire hospitals.
•    Create resource plans by leveraging individual contributions.
•    Perspective around individual and hospital team’s skills and knowledge to ensure end success. Recommend and take action where needed.
•    Keep leaders informed with regular awareness reporting.
•    Successful program lead means to assemble and manage challenges and to make a fine- tuned plan including leaning-in where hospitals need guidance and training.
•    Advocate for the adoption of Vetspire solutions that align with specific business unit objectives.
•    Advocate for the hospitals and end user success.

Leading With Your Hands

•    Creating project plans by gathering user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
•    Participate in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized.
•    Participate in the optimization and training of Vetspire.
•    Participate in testing of new apps, integrations, and new modules of Vetspire.
•    Evaluate program and project performance, make adjustments and evolve, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
•    Respond to and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
•    Participating and engage in on-site visits as required.

Key Qualifications: 
•    2+ years of successfully overseeing and leading programs and projects of a dynamic nature.
•    Driven and supported change management methodologies and communication plans
•    Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business processes, general and veterinary hospital operations
•    Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
•    Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
•    Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
•    Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to systems issues and products as required.
•    Demonstrated software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
•    Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
•    Strong technical background and familiarity with relevant technologies/platforms; Vetspire
•    Diplomatic approach to handling conflicts and managing stakeholder relationships.
•    Experience in managing relationships with vendors or external partners.
•    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
