Duties & Responsibilities:

Summary

  • Become a key growth contributor for Viavi Solutions FAS Instrument/diversification initiative.
  • The successful individual will own the product/solution definition, the commercialization model, the go-to-market plan working with different stakeholders in the Viavi org. 
  • As part of this role, you will work closely in a PLM team reporting to the Instrument Product Line Director
  • The ideal candidate should have knowledge of fiber, OTDR, data center and telecom & DC ecosystem including contractors (Fiber Optics).
  • Together with your network and customer knowledge, you will be directly engaged at listening to customers to understand pain points, KPIs and translate/apply the value our solutions or new solutions can bring to resolve pain points and exceed their KPIs. 
  • You will help discovery of the use case/operations workflow and field management and workflow processes required by the solution to enable easy and wide adoption within the ecosystem user community

Major responsibilities include.

  • Develop business case creation and marketing requirements for new product solutions into targeted market and new technology applications
  • Find, proactively reachout and develop relationships with key hyperscale/DC customers
  • Global Product Line / solution Manager working directly with Engineering, Marketing, Service and Sales & Partners
  • Product, Solution and Services definition using Voice of Customer tools
  • Become the key application driver for NAM - specific regional and customer collaboration for fiber applications to ensure we win for large project in core telecom market
  • Create competitive positioning content, establish & promote unique value propositions

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Required skills and Qualification

  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in Communications market with strong Communication Service Provider knowledge on network operations, workgroups & processes.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience with either 4G/5G radio access networks or Hyperscale/Edge Data Centers and how Providers and contractors/SI’s are ensuring (physical) network test quality and efficiency
  • Previous experience within an Engineering (research, development, or field application engineers), product management or technical marketing team
  • Experience with Cloud Hosting, SW licensing models, and creating annuity models
  • Fluent in both English and French is highly desired, excellent oral and written communications skills to prepare and deliver professional proposals or presentations to customers and peers in the organization.
  • Experience creating business plans for new product/solution introductions 
  • Self-motivated, organized with excellent problem-solving ability. 
  • This role is based in North America and Eastern time zone preferred.
