We are seeking a Framing and Drywall Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for metal and wood framing, drywall installation, ceilings, and related interior systems. The ideal candidate will analyze construction drawings, perform material takeoffs, and work closely with project teams to develop accurate and competitive bids.
Develop detailed cost estimates for framing and drywall systems in commercial and residential projects.
Perform quantity takeoffs for materials such as wood and metal framing, drywall, insulation, and ceiling systems.
Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure cost efficiency and project feasibility.
Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals based on project scope and specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine budgets and scope.
Utilize estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst) for accurate calculations.
Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor material pricing, labor rates, and market trends to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
Ensure compliance with building codes, fire ratings, and acoustical requirements for drywall and framing.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in construction estimating, with a focus on framing and drywall.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wood and metal framing, drywall installation, finishing techniques, and acoustical ceiling systems.
Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Ability to read architectural and structural blueprints and perform precise material calculations.
Software Proficiency: Experience with estimating software such as ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with vendors, project managers, and stakeholders.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
