Overview of the Role
Corebridge is seeking a highly motivated individual who will provide support in Global Tax as an Assistant Tax Manager. This role is part of our Global Tax Reporting and Analysis team.
Summary of Responsibilities
This role has responsibility for the USGAAP and Statutory quarterly/annual tax reporting process for US Life Insurance companies, including but not limited to:
Prepare USGAAP tax provision and related work-papers
Prepare Statutory tax provision and related work-papers
Prepare tax journal entries for interim and year-end reporting
Complete balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned tax GL accounts
Prepare tax basis balance sheets
Preparation of federal income tax returns and supporting schedules
Use your systems skills in SAP, ONESOURCE Tax Provision and ONESOURCE Income Tax
Assist in the preparation of tax calculations to support tax controversy analyses
Develop responses to inquiries by internal and external auditors during their review of the quarterly/annual tax results
Assist with required quarterly and annual SOX controls
Work as part of the team on other special projects as required
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
A CPA and/or a master’s in taxation is preferred but not required
2+ years of combined tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax department
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and be flexible during change and pressure to meet deadlines
Must be able to effectively communicate information to many types of audiences via email, phone, in person, through technical documents, and/or digital presentation
The candidate should be highly motivated and interested in taking on challenging work while seeking out answers and solutions independently
Build interpersonal relationships within a large, complicated organization
Must have the ability to strive for results, deal with ambiguity and relationship dynamics, and conceptualize strategic objectives
Proficient in the use of MS Office: Excel (strong), Word, and PowerPoint
