Job description

How you’ll make an impact:

As an Account Development Representative (ADR) on our Higher Education Growth team, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding Strata’s footprint in the market. Your efforts will directly contribute to building a strong sales pipeline and amplifying our marketing initiatives.

  • Identify and engage prospective higher education customers through outbound calls and emails using SalesLoft, focusing on driving new business.
  • Develop and manage a robust database of qualified prospects within target accounts.
  • Generate new sales opportunities through inbound and outbound prospecting, as well as through Strata’s business development channels.
  • Own sales activity goals, consistently exceeding pipeline targets and revenue-driving metrics.
  • Support marketing-driven lead generation efforts by executing pre-show and post-show strategies for trade shows and webinars.
  • Conduct research on target accounts, identifying key decision-makers and strategizing personalized outreach.
  • Facilitate sales discovery meetings working closely with Regional Account Executives to ensure
  • Build trustworthy relationships with your Regional Account Executives to collaborate on territory campaigns.
  • Initiate and create territory campaigns based on specific regional themes.
  • Responsible for contributing 75% of the new business pipeline and maintaining consistent pipeline generation that is 3X Annual Target + growth year over year.

What we’re looking for:

  • 1+ years of sales (SDR / BDR / Inside Sales) experience (preferably in SaaS, finance, or higher education).
  • A track record of exceeding sales activity metrics and pipeline targets.
  • Exceptional communication skills—whether on the phone, in writing, or via webinar presentations.
  • Proven ability to research, prospect, and engage customers
  • A self-starter mindset with a passion for growing new business, especially in higher education.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn and ZoomInfo is a plus.
  • Local to Chicago and willing to participate in our in-office policy, 2 days per week (Tues / Wed / Thurs)

Estimated Salary Range: $54,000 - $65,000

Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role. In addition, Strata provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental leave, life and accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.

The preferred location for this role is in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. We value our people spending time together and have campuses hosting in-person events located in both cities. We are truly a hybrid environment with all team members experiencing the flexibility to work from home.
