Job description

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Avantor organization as HR Generalist (m/f/x) and play an important role in our HR Team.

This is a full-time opportunity covering maternity leave for approx 2 years with hybrid mode of working.

What we’re looking for:

  • Academic: Bachelor/master's degree in HR, psychology or business administration, Master's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Good knowledge of the labor law
  • Requires minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Must have a proven track record of relationship building with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle employee conflicts and differences by interpreting verbal/ non-verbal behavior, detecting perceptions and needs of employees, understanding and valuing employee differences.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to understand business strategy and goals.
  • Requires working knowledge of MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Highly customer focused as well as proactive and team focused

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Maintain up to date the employee files and records according to the local legislation
  • Managing the requests of the employees (individual employment contract, additional documents, employment documents, decisions, certificates, job sheets etc)
  • Manage the Health and Safety process in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Handle the employee’s onboarding, new hire orientation and, termination process, including exit interviews
  • Collect, centralize, prepare payroll data and maintain contact with payroll agency and global payroll & accounting teams
  • Check the payroll files, confirm the data & initiate the payment process, prepare & deliver external reporting, offer employee guidance;
  • Benefits administration using specific HR software;
  • Employee & Manager support on various HR issues;
  • Oversee employee labor laws & regulations to assure compliance;
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager & Management team in providing support for disciplinary queries;
  • Conduct and supervise the collective bargaining agreement negotiations process between the company and the Employees’ representatives;
  • Advise on employee relations, performance management and compliance with employment laws;
  • Promote the DE&I initiatives;
  • Have an understanding of e-learning techniques, and where relevant, be involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
