We are looking Pipe Stress Engineer with 10+ Years of Experience for our esteemed client for Bangalore Location
Key Skills: Auto pipe analysis software, thermal stress analysis, piping, ducting, pipe support and pipe layout, Industrial Water treatment plants, Power, Oil & Gas or Chemical industries
Roles and Responsibilities:
3D modelling in Auto pipe, Drafting, basics execution involving piping stress modelling and piping supports drawings preparation according to project specifications and internal standards.
Responsible for stress analysis, checking stresses and displacements, correct if any problems, qualifying design by checking loads of attached equipment (vessel, pump, fan allowable etc), check support loads if needed.
Monitoring and control of the piping stress design progress including the coordination with the customers and vendors for progress and updates.
Responsible for the technical guideline preparation and the final check of all the project deliverables like stress report, piping supports/ expansion bellows supply specifications and drawings in accordance with international standards and project specifications.
Responsible for the internal design standards approval.
Suitable degree in Mechanical/Chemical or relevant engineering.
About 8 -12 years of design experience in Industrial Water treatment plants, Power, Oil & Gas or Chemical industries.
Design experience in piping, ducting, pipe support and pipe layout.
Experience in mechanical design and assessment.
Proficiency in static, dynamic and thermal stress analysis.
Exposure to piping fabrication, installation, testing.
Demonstrable knowledge of design projects, or relevant experience/knowledge of process plant operations is desirable.
Hands on experience in Auto pipe analysis software, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
A good understanding and experience working on specification of equipment such as Evaporators, Crystallizers, Heat exchangers, axia pumps, centrifugal pumps, valves, steam piping design etc.
Knowledge of material selection.
Understanding of other relevant engineering disciplines.
Familiar with international design codes and standards (such as: ASME Section VIII Div I, ASME B31.3) and recommended practices pertaining to mechanical design, fabrication, installation, inspection, testing, quality assurance and quality control etc.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, flexible attitude to the type of work and the level of responsibility accepted.
Proven computer aptitude, and expertise in MS office.
Ability to understand and define client’s requirements, plan & schedule deliverables, timelines.
Proven strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to write accurate, detailed, and concise technical reports (e.g., design substantiations, basis of analysis, safety case support references).
Desired Skills:
Should be able to Plan, Communicate, Control, Execute the project.
Ensure timely execution timeline of project and Back-log clearance, if required.
Coordinate with Process, Civil/Structural, Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation groups to ensure design suits all these depts.
Do vendor drawing reviews and provide comments if any and Modelling of clips on equipment.
Collaborate with Stress and Support Engineers for optimal design.
