Software Engineer

Jobrain is looking for a talented Software Engineer to help build and scale our AI-driven recruitment platform. You’ll be working with a cutting-edge tech stack, including TypeScript, Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL (Neon/Supabase), AWS SageMaker, and machine learning to create an intelligent and seamless hiring experience for recruiters and candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Next.js (React) and NestJS (Node.js).
• Work with PostgreSQL (NeonDB or Supabase) to design and optimize database queries.
• Deploy and manage applications on Vercel for frontend and AWS SageMaker for ML model inference​.
• Implement machine learning pipelines for candidate evaluation and job matching​.
• Design and develop interactive UI components using ShadCN and other modern UI frameworks.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, recruiters, and platform consultants to refine algorithms and enhance platform intelligence​.
• Build and optimize APIs and microservices for handling real-time data, user interactions, and AI-driven recommendations​.
• Maintain high-quality, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.

Requirements

• Proficiency in TypeScript & JavaScript with experience in Next.js & NestJS.

• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL (NeonDB or Supabase experience is a plus).
• Experience with Vercel for frontend deployment and AWS SageMaker for ML model deployment.
• Knowledge of Python and machine learning fundamentals (ML model training, evaluation, and inference).
• Familiarity with UI frameworks like ShadCN for designing intuitive interfaces.
• Experience in API development, microservices architecture, and database optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with real-time systems using WebSockets or event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of AI-powered recruitment systems and ML model integration in production environments​.
• Familiarity with serverless computing and cloud functions (AWS Lambda).
