Senior Field Service Engineer

For the further strategic development of our Marine and Power field service department, we are looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer. As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you are part of a dedicated Field Service team and contribute directly to the company's success. In this position, you will be part of a dynamic Field Service department that supports the MAN-ES product portfolio for marine and power installations for customers in the UK, Europe and globally, and will be expected to either work within a team or to lead field service projects.

We can offer you the following tasks

• Able to carry out extensive mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair operations of 4 and 2 stroke engines and associated systems.
• Implementation of field maintenance procedures according to MAN-ES standards.
• To be able to carry out performance tests, troubleshooting & root cause analysis with support from the MAN-ES.
• To be able to work with engine automation & mechanical system, providing support to Customers within guidelines as stipulated by MAN-ES.
• On site Customer operational support in all stages of a project.
• Ensure the implementation of HSE standards in maintenance activities.
• Identifying the spare parts requirements for maintenance and repair activities.

You Can Help Us With These Qualifications

• Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering diploma/degree with at least 5 years work experience or apprenticeship time served mechanical or mechatronic Engineer with long time work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience of in depth overhaul, service and repair of high or medium speed engines, preferably in the marine industry or power plant industries.
• Understanding of the business on both technical and commercial levels.
• IT Proficient with experience of Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English and able to write Technical Reports, other languages are considered as a plus.
• Results driven, ability to develop and retain key business, consultant and customer relationships.
• Ability to liaise and communicate at all levels in the business as well as culturally aware and able to work in foreign locations with minimal local support.
• Assertive, self-motivated with the ability to work independently, lead a team as well as work within a team.
• Organizational skills with high attention to details required.
• Able to cope with job pressure and stress Adaptable in regards changes of circumstance.

Where we need you

As a Field Service Engineer you will mainly be travelling to our customers sites/vessels from home but may be required to visit the office or workshop in Stockport on occasion for supporting works.
