Summary
The Onboarding Specialist provides support to all Clinician new hires. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the company’s new Clinicians receive exceptional service from their very first interaction. They will be responsible for guiding new Clinicians through the initial stages of their relationship with our company, providing them with product knowledge, troubleshooting assistance, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. The goal is to establish a positive relationship with Clinicians and set the stage for long-term satisfaction, support and loyalty. The Specialist would also build and maintain strong partnerships with the Clinicians, appropriate leaders and departments to problem solve, manage, and create a positive onboarding experience for our clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Provides onboarding support for Clinician new / re-hires and earn-while-you-learn program candidates, through timely and accurate resolution of inquiries/transactions.
- Ensures clear understanding of end-to-end onboarding process from Recruitment to Day 1 for smooth handoff between groups.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to refine onboarding processes and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the onboarding program.
- Assists in the preparation and distribution of onboarding materials, ensuring new hires have all necessary information and resources.
- Liaises with external stakeholders to monitor critical activities, such as background checks, credentialing and I-9 processing.
- Escalates system-caused issues directly to IT Service Center while maintaining support and providing updates to new hire/candidates.
- Documents resolutions, for uncommon and complex queries, to help streamline and reduce ticket processing time.
- Identifies opportunities for system enablement and transaction automation to help drive an enhanced onboarding experience for Clinicians.
- Maintains relationship with Talent COE teams to build knowledge transfer and capabilities on the different onboarding workstreams including Contracting, Recruiting, and Credentialing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an onboarding role.
- Experience working with Clinicians.
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present information and facilitate training sessions.
- Experience developing training materials, manuals, and online learning modules.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- HS Degree required. Associates degree+ preferred.
- 2 years of related experience required.
- Microsoft Office Suite
