Job description

Overview:

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

 

This position will be overseeing the entire onboarding process from background to volunteers being officially onboarded with JerseySTEM. In partnership with the Recruiting Partners, this individual will gather new volunteers who are being offered an opportunity with us and ensure consistent communication with new volunteers. 

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with recruiting partners and hiring managers for smooth onboarding process
  • Participate in the Design of the Onboarding Experience
  • Monitor background checks on clearance and communicate with the team once cleared
  • Submit appropriate background information by working with recruiting partners and hiring managers
  • Oversee onboarding platform and send new volunteer communications as necessary
  • Work in conjunction with other team members on new volunteer orientation
  • 3-5 hours a week, 3 months commitment
  • This is a Virtual position
Qualifications:
  • Strong organization skills and detailed oriented
  • G-suite experience required
  • Enboarder, Slack, Jira, Salesforce, Applicant Tracking System preferred
  • Process-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with a start-up ornonprofit environment preferred
  • Experience working with background check systems and processes preferred
  • Experience collaborating with the recruitment team on onboarding process preferred

 

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.
