Project Manager, Strategic Projects - Remote

Employment Type - Full Time Permanent

Hours - 40 hours per week

Salary - $90,000-110,000 CAD annually

Job Summary:

The PM is responsible for project managing both project and program-level initiatives from inception to project/program closure.



Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work with both departmental stakeholders and leadership teams to develop, define and prioritize the strategic objectives for all initiatives
  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to build out robust plans to drive the entire lifecycle of both strategic and operational initiatives
  • Coordinate all stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects – be solutions-oriented to resolve any and all issues which may impact the successful (and timely) completion of integrations projects
  • Ensure that all project resources are adhering to proper governance (documentation, tools, best practices, etc) as defined by the PMO
  • Report on project metrics to keep project stakeholders and senior management informed


    Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong ethical compass in all business decision-making and interpersonal relationships
  • Motivated by a rapid business tempo and a desire to build a strong international company with a pristine reputation
  • Ability to operate strategically and/or operationally, as the situation requires
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in achieving business objectives
  • Experience managing multiple projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry would be considered an asset




Education and Experience:


  • 5+ years experience in a program/project management capacity
  • Experience working within a PMO framework
  • PMP designation or equivalent certification is considered an asset
  • Experienced in Change Management



Working Conditions:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time with the flexibility to sit/stand and adjust posture (neck, shoulder, and back) as required and take the necessary break(s).
  • Working on a laptop with prolonged screen time responding to emails, attending meetings through Microsoft Teams, building materials/reports to present recommendations and solutions.
  • Repetitive movement of hand and wrist (typing on keyboard and using mouse).
  • Travel to a facility, office, or event space would be 0-25% of the time and would be done on an as needed basis to ensure employees come in with purpose and intention to collaborate.
  • Flexibility when it comes to start and end times at work to enable work across various time zones for collaboration.
  • Work activities involve handling loads up to 5kg maximum is limited.
  • Lifting and carrying 5kg and above in load is not required.
  • As part of mobility functions: reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, and crawling is not required.
  • Frequent and consistent attention to detail, multi-tasking, analysis, verbal communication, reading/writing, and memory would be required as part of the cognitive job demands.
  • During busy periods within the department, hours of work may extend beyond normal workday of 8 hours with flexibility to adjust start and end times along with shortening other workdays in the week.
  • Some travel to sites
