Job description

Paragon Legal, a flexible legal talent provider, is hiring an experienced Client Development Manager to join our team on a remote basis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a passion for fostering and expanding our current client relationships, matching attorneys with client projects, and becoming a trusted expert on the legal job market.


In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing key client relationships, including staying in touch with contacts, proactively presenting clients with new solutions, and identifying and pursuing additional revenue opportunities with existing clients;
  • Serving as a strategic and consultative partner to clients by providing thoughtful and innovative solutions to client issues, honest feedback, legal market updates, and guidance on best practices;
  • Managing client engagements, including handling intake calls, matching qualified candidates with the right client engagements, coordinating interviews and onboarding, and providing ongoing client service;
  • Providing a high-touch client experience through thoughtful, timely, and thorough communication;
  • Working with the Business Development team to stay apprised of client and industry trends to provide proactive and timely account service;
  • Working cross-functionally with the Recruiting, Attorney Development, HR, and Operations teams to coordinate attorney project onboarding and offboarding and facilitate problem solving;
  • Attending company events, legal conferences, and other networking events;
  • Tracking your activity, in real-time, within a CRM.

Competencies required for success in this role:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional client service experience (for example, in account management, business development/sales, or recruiting roles);
  • Ability to think critically, make connections from a range of sources of information, use judgment, and problem-solve independently when needed;
  • Strong written and oral professional communication skills including comfort working with senior management across departments;
  • Impeccable organizational and project management skills, detail orientation, and self-motivated follow-through;
  • Strong sense of ownership over work and willingness to provide, accept, and implement feedback;
  • Executive presence and ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with senior attorneys;
  • One-team orientation and strong desire and willingness to work collaboratively across the Paragon team;
  • Comfortable asking questions and seeking direction when needed;
  • High EQ; comfortable providing and asking for constructive feedback;
  • Excellent computer skills (Slack, Google Suite, relationship management software, etc.)


Prior experience within the legal profession, including either the practice or business of law is preferred.


This is a fully-remote position with quarterly domestic travel required for client meetings, conferences, team gatherings, etc.


The base salary for this role is in the range of $90,000-$120,000. This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset and relevant experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Full time employees are eligible for Paragon’s medical, dental, and vision insurance (with an employer contribution), long-term disability, life, and AD&D coverage, medical FSA participation, 401(k) participation for eligible employees, Employee Assistance Plan, paid vacation, and paid sick time (where required by state law).
