Overview:

Geosyntec Consultants has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Systems Analyst in any of our Florida offices (West Palm Beach, Clearwater, Tampa, Orlando, Boca Raton, Titusville, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Gainesville, St. Augustine, Tallahassee); Kennesaw, GA. The position offers the option of either working full-time, a hybrid work from home, remote at the company’s discretion.

In the position of Financial Systems Analyst in Corporate Accounting, your focus will be data quality, data clean-up, and data audits, as well as assisting with reporting and Power BI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for accounting software and other accounting-managed systems including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Liaison with third parties and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity, test system changes, and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities.
  • Support accounting software upgrades, patches, testing, new features and configuration implementation.
  • Review, test and communicate to stakeholders upcoming accounting-managed system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Document process and results.
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.
  • Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Provide audit support through generating reports, developing documentation, and performing completeness and accuracy checks.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and suggest projects to streamline business operations where applicable.
  • Provide support for other technical accounting and finance projects.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to assist IT and users with an efficient use of data needed from the Infor/ERP platform.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new features and updates to keep the Infor/ERP platform up-to-date and secure.
  • Troubleshooting system and integration errors.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting and Finance Team and other stakeholders to assess business requirements and propose system solutions.
  • Provide audit support through generating reports, developing documentation, and performing completeness and accuracy checks.
  • Complete testing during new system implementation projects and regression testing for scheduled system releases.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and suggest projects to streamline business operations where applicable.
  • Create systems documents, including architectural design, business requirements, functional design, user manuals, test scripts, and training materials.
  • Conduct periodic training for end users on current and new system features and processes.
Education and Licensure:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting, finance or related field. (required)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial software system management; or any equivalent of work experience and training totaling 7 years of experience.(required)
  • Basic accounting and project cost experience.(preferred)
  • ERP Systems expertise.(required)
  • Database management skills.(required)
  • System administration proficiency.(required)
  • Security & Access Control knowledge.(required)
  • Strong customer service and effective communication skills.(required)
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities. (required)
