JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Distinguished Data Architect, a highly experienced professional with deep expertise in data architecture, large-scale distributed data systems, and enterprise data strategies. This role will define and drive mission-critical data architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency across complex data ecosystems.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead enterprise-wide data architecture strategies, aligning with business goals and ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

• Design and oversee the implementation of large-scale, distributed data architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.

• Develop and govern data modeling frameworks, ensuring consistency and best practices for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

• Architect high-performance data platforms, integrating data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streaming solutions.

• Define best practices for data pipelines, ETL/ELT strategies, and data processing frameworks, ensuring efficient data movement and transformation.

• Drive the adoption of event-driven and streaming architectures using Kafka, Pulsar, or equivalent.

• Oversee data governance, lineage, and security strategies, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and other regulations.

• Lead multi-cloud and hybrid data platform strategies, optimizing AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue), Azure (Synapse, ADLS), and GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow) environments.

• Guide the adoption of knowledge graphs and semantic modeling for contextualized industrial and enterprise data.

• Ensure data observability and quality through advanced monitoring, lineage tracking, and anomaly detection.

• Collaborate with C-level executives, data engineering teams, and business stakeholders to align data strategies with enterprise objectives.

• Act as a technical mentor and thought leader, shaping Radix’s data architecture vision and influencing global data practices.

• Represent Radix at global industry events, technical conferences, and high-impact client engagements.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Experience in data architecture, enterprise data solutions, or large-scale data engineering, designing mission-critical systems.

• Advanced or Fluent English Skills

• Expertise in data architecture patterns, including data mesh, data fabric, and federated data models.

• Strong hands-on experience with modern data platforms, including Delta Lake, Iceberg, Apache Hudi, and cloud-native storage solutions.

• Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, and graph databases (Neo4j, AWS Neptune).

• Advanced experience in real-time and batch data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Flink, and Beam.

• Proven expertise in data integration strategies, including API-driven data exchange, event-driven architectures, and change data capture (CDC).

• Strong knowledge of data security, encryption, and privacy-enhancing technologies, ensuring secure data access and compliance.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) for data infrastructure automation.

• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java, applied to data engineering and analytics solutions.

• Deep understanding of metadata management, data catalogs, and semantic data models for enterprise-wide data standardization.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence executives, engineering teams, and data-driven business decisions.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields.
