Data Solution Architect - Snowflake (full remote)

Position: Data Solution Architect - Snowflake

Location: Full onsite from Germany or Spain or Portugal

Language: Fluent in English (c1 minimum) and is a plus if you speak german (B2)

Type: Full-time

We are looking for someone who is able to give guidance and solutions for the architecture and able to communicate these concepts while having the own drive to work hands-on with the tools and being able to share knowledge within the internal workforce. Personal Profile: Eager to communicate, jump on calls with camera on, motivated to drive the implementation of snowflake

Requirements:

• 8 years of experience working with snowflake - hands-on experience in implementing and managing Snowflake data platforms.


• Data Modeling and Architecture: experience in designing and optimizing data models and architectures, including the application of best practices and tools to use, like dbt.


• SQL proficiency: In-depth knowledge of SQL, as this is the primary language for queries and data management in Snowflake.


• Data Integration: Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.


• Training and knowledge transfer: Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable way and provide training to existing staff.


• Project management: Project management experience to plan and oversee the transition to the new architecture.


• Security and governance knowledge: Familiarity with data governance and security practices to ensure data is managed in a secure and compliant manner.

Nice to have:

• Experience with BI tools: Knowledge of integrating and utilizing BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for domain-specific analytics


• Knowledge of data science and machine learning: Experience with data science and machine learning tools that can be integrated with Snowflake, such as DataRobot or Amazon SageMaker


• Cloud computing experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, as Snowflake runs on these platforms


• Automation and Scripting: Knowledge of automation and scripting (e.g. Python) to automate repetitive tasks and increase efficiency


• Experience with data governance tools: Familiarity with tools such as Zeenea for metadata management and data governance
