ABOUT THE ROLE

As Builders Outreach Lead, you will play an important role in onboarding new developers and builders to the Algorand ecosystem. You will be responsible for leading workshops, bootcamps, and other entry-level content programs to educate and attract new developers to explore on Algorand. You will also partner closely with the rest of the Ecosystem team, especially Startup Programs, to help high-quality builders and teams launch projects on Algorand. An important part of this role is to be hands-on in supporting developers, and be curious to experiment with new ways to attract builders. The ideal candidate should have experience working with developers or founders and have a solid technical understanding of software development and blockchain systems. 

 

This role reports to the Head of Builder Programs and will work closely with the Startup Programs (Algorand Incubator and accelerator initiatives), Developer Relations, and Marketing teams to ensure a consistent and successful builder onboarding journey.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, promote, and lead programs to attract and onboard new developers and builders to ecosystem
  • Provide basic technical support to new developers and nurture promising projects to come to Algorand
  • Work with builders to create POCs to iterate ideas
  • Launch build-a-thons for teams to test and validate ideas
  • Partner with other parts of the ecosystem on team formation, sourcing technical talent from other parts of the ecosystem - DevRel, India, and Nigeria
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Developer Relations to iterate and improve the onboarding funnel, making sure builders are not stalled or leaving
  • Build processes to track funnel effectiveness and implement feedback from developers and builders to improve future programs.
  • Develop a data-driven approach to track inbound requests, builders’ problem areas, and builder progress. 
  • Engage with builders across X(Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Slack, Telegram.  

 

WHO YOU ARE / KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5+ years of experience working with developers or builders
  • Solid understanding of blockchain, smart contracts, and a genuine interest in the technology
  • Proficient in developing application software using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript 
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated experience teaching and presenting content to live and virtual audiences in an engaging way
  • Program or project management experience 
  • Experience in building POCs or MVPs to validate early-stage ideas

 

GOOD TO HAVE (OPTIONAL) 

  • Experience with startups
