A part-time and fully remote working Lecturer is needed to join a team in facilitating weekly live online evening classes for first-year accounting students. Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning:
Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student learning styles and create an inclusive classroom environment.
Facilitate weekly live online classes that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
Develop engaging lecture plans and discussion forums.
Provide feedback and grading for assignments, discussions, and exams.
Offer one-on-one student consultations and provide support for at-risk students.
Ensure teaching materials remain current, particularly with legislative changes.
Curriculum Development and Innovation:
Collaborate with faculty to review and update curriculum, incorporating the latest research and industry trends.
Integrate digital tools and industry-relevant technology to enhance student learning.
Pilot new teaching methods, gather feedback, and continuously improve educational approaches.
Quality Management:
Act as an internal moderator for teaching, learning, and assessments.
Implement improvements based on peer and student feedback to align with institutional quality standards.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest research and developments in higher education and accounting.
Participate in discussion forums and updates relevant to the industry.
