The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Finance Business Analytics & Reporting Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategy Development and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive Business Analysis and Reporting strategy to align with and support organizational goals.
    • Define key metrics, service level agreements, and reporting standards, leveraging best practices in data visualization and analysis.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize in-depth knowledge of data models and data sourcing to create reporting solutions that deliver actionable insights using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and others.
    • Identify and integrate relevant data sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in reporting outputs.
    • Analyze complex datasets to uncover insights and trends, adding value to Finance, FP&A, and Operations.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Partner with Finance, Operations, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop tailored reporting solutions.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, presenting actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization:
    • Develop dashboards and reports that empower the business to monitor progress, identify opportunities, and drive process improvements.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging reporting and metrics to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Leadership and Training:
    • Build and lead a small team of analysts (as needed) to support reporting and analytics initiatives.
    • Train and empower stakeholders to effectively utilize reporting tools and interpret data insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Reporting, FP&A, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools, with a proven track record of designing impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database management, and integration of multiple data sources.
  • Experience with Workday or other major ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Familiarity with Finance and Operations processes and metrics, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for driving organizational change and fostering a data-driven culture.
  • Experience in the insurance industry, with knowledge of industry-specific data, metrics, and reporting requirements preferred.
  • Experience with advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling and machine learning preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis preferred.
  • Certification in Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools preferred.
