Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Account Executive to join our growing team. This role is critical in driving the growth of our supplier improvement solutions within the Life Sciences, Aerospace, Defense, and Hi-Tech sectors aligning with SQA’s strategies and goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales, and account management, with a deep understanding of supplier quality improvement processes and the unique challenges faced by these highly regulated industries.
Responsibilities will include:
Business Development:
Identify, target, and engage potential clients in the Life Sciences sectors. Develop and implement strategic plans to grow market share and drive revenue for our supplier improvement solutions.
Sales Leadership:
Lead the sales process from prospecting to executing a contract, including client presentations, proposal development, negotiations, and contract management. Meet and exceed sales targets through a consultative sales approach.
Account Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and that they receive exceptional service and support.
Industry Expertise:
Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape. Leverage your expertise to position our solutions as the top choice for supplier improvement in these sectors.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer success, to ensure alignment on client needs and expectations. Provide feedback to help refine and enhance our offerings.
Market Research:
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and new markets. Monitor market conditions and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions in CRM systems. Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team on sales performance, market insights, and growth strategies.
At least 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in one or a combination of
Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Biologics, Gene and Cell Therapy
At least 2 years of experience selling technical products or services in the manufacturing space
A demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing or engineering preferred
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a strong understanding of supplier improvement processes and quality management systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to client challenges
Strategic prospecting and sales planning skills (data mining, sales analysis, trends, SWOT, white paper theories)
Excellent communication and presentation skills; written and verbal
Proficiency in programs such as PowerPoint, Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom/Webex/GoToMeeting
Ability to work well in a fast-paced high growth environment
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
Bachelor’s degree preferred
