In this role you will:

  • Independently perform more complex data analysis in response to ad-hoc research and reporting requests using business intelligence software or Hyperion as a tool to forecast trends and assess potential impact in various areas
  • Perform complex analytical and consultative FP&A work addressing critical financial issues and broad design matters
  • Analyze and evaluate data of all types, create dashboards using business intelligence tools, produce reports and presentations of results with visualizations.
  • Create, develop, and update financial projections
  • Analyze and interpret financial and operational data of current and future periods
  • Utilize historical data to inform trends and decisions for future periods
  • Lead efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of management reporting by designing and building sustainable financial tools
  • Act as a team lead for various FP&A program initiatives


This job may be located at one of the following offices: San Francisco, Pleasanton, Sacramento or Santa Ana.


The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.


This position requires occasional travel to office for meetings and/or trainings.


Desired Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Proficient knowledge of financial modeling/cost benefit analysis (CBA)/reporting and financial reference tools
  • Ability to generate, use, develop, and maintain financial models/reports and financial reference tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of statutory accounting principles (SAP), accruals and audits
  • General knowledge of the insurance industry and workers’ compensation industry trends and issues
  • Ability to use statistics to analyze research findings to support decisions or to make recommendations
  • Ability to take an ambiguous concept/task and complete in an effective way with minimal direction
  • Ability to effectively convey information concisely and professionally to management in writing, verbally, and by using data visualization techniques

SALARY: $7,417 - $9,283 per month depending on experience
