Job description

Overview

 

The Director, Supply Chain Launch Operations, is responsible for managing supply chain related activities to support global launches. This role leads cross-functional teams to ensure launch readiness in multiple markets. Serves as the global operational business process owner in support of commercial geographical market expansion strategy.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provides cross-functional leadership for global launch activities including ensuring regulatory filings, order management and distribution and handling requirements are established in line with Supply Chain processes and systems.
  • Manages cross-functional project plan for launch readiness.
  • Proactively communicates status, issues, and actions to senior management.
  • Collaborates with Logistics team to set up all required processes and procedures to support distribution.
  • Supports set up for distribution for Early Access Programs globally.
  • Partners with Logistics, Commercial, Regulatory teams to establish country specific labeling and distribution requirements.
  • Supports post-approval filing activities for regions as it relates to ensuring product supply.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science, supply chain, management, or equivalent.
  • 10 years relevant equivalent experience in supply chain in biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong experience with supply chain methodologies, project management systems and other planning tools.
  • International distribution experience.
  • Self-motivated and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Experience with cell and gene therapy products.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting/financial/business analysis processes and techniques.
  • Strong working knowledge of the CFRs and cGMPs related to the above supply chain related responsibilities.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.

  • Must have visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, and extensive reading. 
  • This position requires repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information.
  • Travel 10% domestically.
