Title: Regional Director, New York

Status: Full time

Base salary: $115,000 - $125,000

Location: USA (remote), with homebase in commuting distance to Manhattan

Reports to: Vice President of Destination and Partner Development – Americas

As Regional Director, your primary responsibility will be to develop, maintain, and retain a high-quality portfolio of attractions and experiences, ensuring that our local customers see and experience the best of everything that your assigned destination has to offer. An integral part of the role will be to analyze the P&L of your market(s) to improve profitability. You’ll be working closely with attraction partners, providing them with market data and customer insights to align our mutual goals.

Summary of the role and what our team is up to:

This role is key to the Commercial department, which ensures that Go City’s global customer’s expectations are exceeded when visiting a Go City destination, while simultaneously balancing the commercial interests of our operation. Being the destination expert, you will be the face of Go City to our attraction partners.

This role will manage the New York market, although you should be open to any expansion of this remit.

What will you be responsible for/helping us to do?

While not all-encompassing, much of what you’ll do will be to:

  • Develop and sustain strategic partner relationships by utilizing Go City’s market insights and relevant external data insights.  Provide strategy, revenue opportunities, and marketing opportunities with a consultative and analytical approach.
  • Provide strategic high-touch account management to top-tier attractions, while simultaneously managing the needs of mid and long-tail partners.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the P&L of your market(s) through ongoing analysis; raise any red flags that pose a risk to the financials of the business and implement solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Develop business cases for development or improvement of Go City product(s) in your market(s) to increase profitability for the business and/or improve the customer or partner journey.
  • Ensure that all rates, inventory, and content are consistently optimized.
  • Provide insights into Go City’s technology offering of integrations as needed from both the customer and partner perspective.
  • Secure competitive rates and inventory during high demand periods to meet Go City’s customer expectations and optimize Costs of Goods Sold.
  • Secure deals and promotions throughout the year as needed to support Go City’s merchandizing, and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain a consistent presence in the field - frequently meet with partners, test products, conduct market research, attend networking events, and develop sales opportunities.  This may require travel and sometimes outside of business hours.
  • Serve as the local “expert” for the destination landscape in your market(s), including having a timely pulse on industry trends and the competition.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives and projects aimed at improving the experience for both the partner and customer, while carefully balancing the company’s commercial performance.
  • Monitor the voice of customer to ensure we are solving problems and meeting (or exceeding) existing expectations from the partner and customer. Implement solutions to overcome pain points or improve the consumer or partner proposition.
  • Source new businesses opportunities for third-party sales and/or affiliate accounts throughout the region. This may include training the new locations, incentivizing staff to grow sales, and overseeing contribution.
  • Champion new technologies and innovative partnerships to remain competitive in the digital landscape.
  • Commitment to live and breathe our Company values in the delivery of your role and responsibilities.
