Responsibilities:

  • General bookkeeping

  • Reconciling daily transactions using Xero software

  • Accounts Payables management

  • Accounts Receivables management, including invoicing and follow-up on payments, or setting up vendors on Direct Debit (Candidate must have good spoken English and be willing to make calls to finance departments in the UK for late payments)

  • Reviewing employee receipts and entering them as book entries into Xero accounting

  • Maintaining accurate payroll journals in Xero

  • Assisting with accessing and understanding payroll software to ensure accurate salary calculations, with oversight from management

  • Creating and managing Profit and Loss (P&L) financial forecasts and budgets for investors

  • Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Updating KPIs based on internally collected data and reporting back to investors

  • Comfortably navigating dashboards and listening to customer recordings to complete financial KPI data inputs

  • Collaborating with Accounting Director/Employer (a PwC qualified chartered accountant) and external accountants on VAT return processes

  • Completing government or other formal forms related to the company

  • Working with management on the R&D tax claims process

  • Comfortable building forward cashflow modelling inside spreadsheets
