Job description Product Owner Make/Model

Kramp Group discovers and builds e-commerce, supply chain, finance & data science solutions that are aiming at giving the ag-tech industry a push forward. We’re building a digital platform, serving thousands of customers and generating a turnover of over one billion euros per year. 

 

As a Product Owner, you are responsible for discovering, building & operating products that deliver value for our customers. You develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals. Your role gives you the chance to make a big impact on our customers and company. 

You own the product strategy & product roadmap, and you work closely with your product team & business stakeholders. You collaborate closely with engineers, product analysts, data analysts and UX specialists to build the best possible products.  

You will report to the Manager Product Owners and Analysts.  

Our in-house experimentation platform will allow you to test any change to your product with real customers on our platform, ensuring you can track key metrics and make data-driven decisions when developing your products. 

 

About the ‘Make/Model team’.  

The Make/Model team manages essential data that helps customers identify and purchase the correct tractor and machine parts. This data shows which parts fit specific machines among our assortment, playing a key role in Kramp's business. 

The team oversees the technology and processes for onboarding, managing, and availability this data across Kramp’s digital channels. Their focus is on building scalable, future-proof onboarding process and implementing reliable data management workflows that ensure high-quality data and efficiency. We aim to provide efficient services that enable other product teams to quickly and accurately access this data, ultimately helping customers find the right parts for their machinery effortlessly. 

Our primary objectives are to improve the speed and scalability of data onboarding, develop tools that minimize manual effort for our product specialists, and provide accurate data to other product teams. A key metric for success is expanding the number of machines and vehicles we can connect to our product assortment. 

 

Things that will keep you busy if you join our team as a Product Owner: 

Aim for measurable business impact: 

  • Increase the business impact of your team by optimizing the technology and processes with which we onboard and implement Make/Model data 

  • Identify and implement ways to scale & automate our data management processes aimed at making the biggest possible customer impact 

Problem-Solving & Team Collaboration 

  • Support the team in making the right functional and technical decisions when building new solutions. Our Make/Model team works with a modern technology stack, for example using Neo4J as the graph database. 

  • Align the team with the mission, ensuring everyone is on the same page as well as embrace challenges and work together to find solutions. 

Stakeholder & Customer Engagement 

  • Engage with stakeholders and translate user and business needs into requirements and user stories that can be picked up by the development teams 

  • Be the voice of the customer by collaborating with CX/UX teams, visiting customers, and analyzing data. 

Roadmap & Strategic Planning 

  • Create a roadmap for your domain and contribute to a company-wide strategy with the other POs, Product Manager, Developers, Architects, and Integration Specialists. 

Agile Development & Execution 

  • Work in an agile framework, collaborating with development teams in sprint planning, refinement, and daily stand-ups. 

  • Manage expectations by providing roadmap transparency and communicating priorities to stakeholders taking ownership for delivery. 

Knowledge Sharing & Digital Mindset 

  • Educate colleagues on your products and encourage our organization to be more data-driven and help foster a digital -first mindset in our company. 

 

Who are you and what will help you be successful in this role: 

Education & Domain Expertise 

  • Relevant experience in a digital, IT, or eCommerce domain with a goal-oriented product development 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree 

  • A strong affinity for data products & data analysis 

  • Relevant experience working on a data-focused product or team is a plus 

  • Relevant experience with product content or e-commerce is a plus. 

Product Development & Problem-Solving 

  • Passion for solving complex problems together with a team. 

  • Understanding of API structures and domain services is a plus. 

Collaboration & Communication 

  • Ability to establish, build, and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 

  • Ability to ask the right questions to understand the business logic behind the features and effectively communicate it to the team building it. 

Leadership & Strategic Thinking 

  • A “happy to help” attitude combined with a strong sense of ownership and priority. 

  • Ability to maintain a high-level overview while teams focus on current sprints. 

  • Experience working with both mature and less-mature development teams to optimize performance. 

Agility & Adaptability 

  • Ability to navigate and adapt to different team dynamics and business needs. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
