Job description

The Job

As Team Lead Transactional Accounting, you will lead the sub teams for Accounts Payable in the heart of our Finance department. You will lead a sub team of 3 FTE where you determine daily priorities to ensure up to date processing of invoices and payments.

Priority is effective implementation of new tooling and helping to prioritize the workload. Furthermore, you ensure that we proactively manage supplier balances by processing invoices in time and defining and adhering to processes to ensure only valid payments are made. You are first escalation for internal and external stakeholders with questions on open balances. You will monitor, report and take responsibility for the team's results.

You have experience in SAP and specifically in the maintenance of supplier balances. You actively identify improvements in processes and implement them in practice. In doing so, you will liaise with other colleagues within stichd. You are part of the finance department and report to the Head of Finance.

Your Mission

  • Leading the accounts payable team by prioritizing work, provide operational support when needed and serve as first point of escalation for business partners and other colleagues.
  • Establish department goals and measure performance with appropriate KPI’s such as (KPI’s Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), Invoice processing time, number of invoices processed)
  • Assessing processes and redefine future processes.
  • You can take along your team and convince others of the added value of changes/improvement.
  • Responsible for timely payment of our suppliers by coding purchase invoices and preparing payment runs.
  • Accurate monitoring of supplier balances.
  • Monitoring of timely processing of approved declarations via online tooling and credit cards.
  • Support the Financial controlling team in the month end and year end closing activities.

Your Talent

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and have several years of experience within a similar position.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in an international organization.
  • Experience in coaching of people and leading a team.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to role with high energy, initiative and innovation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills combined with solutions-oriented thinking.
  • Positive result driven attitude.
  • Can do mentality.
  • Experience in SAP is a must and experience with Medius is nice to have.

This role is based in Den Bosch, the Netherlands. Working remotely from other countries is not possible.
