At Fellow, hiring is a collaborative process. You’ll work closely with hiring managers and leadership to craft thoughtful recruitment strategies and create a seamless candidate experience. From sourcing top-tier talent to onboarding, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our company’s future.
This role goes beyond filling positions—it’s about building relationships, fostering diversity, and finding talent that aligns with our values and vision.
You will be primarily recruiting for technical roles but as the founding recruiter for Fellow, you will also assist with hiring for all roles and departments across the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding for technical roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, create engaging job descriptions, and design candidate assessments.
- Use creative and innovative approaches to source talent, leveraging social media, job boards, networking, and other platforms.
- Act as an ambassador for Fellow, delivering a world-class candidate experience at every stage.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates to meet both immediate and future hiring needs.
- Stay current on recruitment trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our processes.
- Support initiatives related to culture, diversity, and inclusion in our hiring practices.
Ideal candidates
- Have 3+ years of experience in technical recruiting, ideally with exposure to scaling startups or fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates and hiring managers effectively.
- Are highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Bring a creative and resourceful approach to finding and attracting top talent.
- Are excited about contributing to Fellow’s culture and building a team that’s passionate about transforming the future of work.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a related field
- Resides in the Ottawa or Toronto area
