Job description

We’re expanding rapidly and looking for a visionary technology leader to join our team and help shape the future of property technology.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development and implementation of our technology strategy, focusing on scaling the business and preparing for a successful exit. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in property technology, ideally with a track record of being involved in a successful exit. This role requires someone who is both technically savvy and understands the business nuances of scaling a company to prepare for acquisition. The CTO will collaborate with the leadership team to ensure that our technology supports the company's overall strategic objectives, particularly in compliance, data storage, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technology vision and strategy for the company, aligning it with business goals, especially around preparing for an exit.
  • Build and manage a high-performing technology team to drive the company's growth.
  • Oversee the development of property management technologies, including software, data analytics, and AI tools.
  • Ensure compliance with global data restrictions and government regulations, especially in relation to data storage and security.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.
  • Advise on product development, with a focus on scalability and future-proofing the platform.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure that technology investments align with financial goals and long-term strategy.
  • Understand and manage tech stock basics, particularly as they pertain to ownership and equity considerations.
  • Monitor technology trends within the property technology space to keep the company ahead of competitors.
  • Provide strategic insights on how to leverage technology to increase profitability and streamline operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CTO or senior technology executive, ideally with experience in property technology (PropTech).
  • Experience in scaling a technology company, with a successful exit as part of your history.
  • In-depth knowledge of global data regulations and compliance, including where data can be stored and how to manage these restrictions.
  • Strong understanding of the tech stock world and its implications for ownership and growth.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and build solutions that support business expansion and profitability.
  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance both short-term and long-term objectives.
