Position Overview

Role: Director of Wholesale Sales and Business Development - Hunter role
Type: W-2 Permanent Employee
Location: Remote or Onsite in Northeast Florida
Compensation:

  • See Details below. Base Salary: $95,000 - $200,000, plus commission, OTE $200,000+

Key Objectives
  • Revenue Growth: Drive wholesale revenue growth from <1% of total revenue to over 5%, contributing to the ambitious goal of >$50 million in topline revenue.
  • Channel Expansion: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to expand the company’s presence across key wholesale accounts.  Seeking a true HUNTER sales mentality.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing wholesale sales team to scale the division and meet ambitious growth targets.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive wholesale sales strategy, aligning with the broader mission and growth objectives.
  • Cultivate relationships with major retailers, including Target, Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s, Costco, Tractor Supply Co., Army & Airforce bases, Scheels, Buc-ees, and others for in-store sales.
  • Identify, hunt, and secure large client opportunities, establishing long-term partnerships with wholesale accounts.
  • Evolve and optimize the wholesale sales playbook, ensuring best practices in account acquisition, client retention, and sales processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between wholesale, direct-to-consumer (DTC), and other business channels.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a high-caliber sales professional with the following qualifications:

  • Experience: 8-15 years in wholesale sales, with a proven track record of driving significant revenue growth in the clothing/apparel industry.
  • Industry Connections: Existing relationships with major retailers in the U.S.
  • Sales Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build relationships, sell, lead sales efforts, build teams, and mentor junior sales staff.
  • Strategic Thinking: Expertise in go-to-market (GTM) strategy and wholesale channel development.
  • Veteran Status: Special consideration may be given to military veterans who meet the qualifications.

Benefits

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $95,000 - $200,000 (DOE – dependent on experience, industry connections, and geographical location).
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $200,000+ annually, (uncapped earnings) comprising:
    • A highly competitive base salary 
    • Commission tied to KPIs (e.g. revenue growth, new account acquisition, wholesale channel expansion).: % of revenue generated from new wholesale accounts or growth in existing accounts.
