Job description

Together, we're shaping the future of content and connecting audiences worldwide. We're seeking a Localization Specialist with a native level of Brazilian Portuguese to join our dubbing department. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality translations, recordings, and subtitles for our Brazilian Portuguese-language video content. And will be an advisor for our Brazilian location, whose expertise will be invaluable in guiding our localization efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct rigorous quality control of dubbing and translations, verifying grammar, pronunciation, cultural adaptation, lip-sync, acting
  • Provide constructive feedback on recorded materials to maintain exceptional audio quality
  • Translate and localize titles, descriptions, and other textual content
  • Edit subtitles (fix sync/grammar/punctuation and other issues) for our Brazilian-language content
  • Be an advisor (consultant) in the development of the Brazilian location and in collaboration with new partners to expand our Brazilian localization reach.

  • Required qualifications:
  • Native-level proficiency in the Brazilian Portuguese language with a strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary
  • Minimum B2+ level of English
  • Proven experience in localization, including subtitling, dubbing, or video games
  • Ability to adapt content for cultural relevance, ensuring the dialogue resonates with the Brazilian audience
  • Ability to work with srt-editors, CRM systems, and Google Sheets
  • Strong background in translation, localization, and quality control processes
  • Familiarity with the Brazilian film and entertainment industryExperience in dubbing production (as a sound engineer or actor) will be a benefit
