Job description

This is a remote position.

Project Description:

The client requires a Business Consultant  to work on the BC Registry and Digital Services (BCRDS) modernization project. BCRDS teams are dedicated, team players that exemplify citizen centric design practices. The successful respondent will work with Service BC and contract staff to support one of the concurrent modernization projects or provincial commitments. The role will require to work closely with their agile project teams to support design, code and test applications.

 

Skills and Experience:

·       Have 2 years of recent relevant experience defining and documenting business requirements for applications and data.

·       Have 4 years’ experience interacting professionally with a wide variety of people in diverse roles (e.g. executives, contractors, technical experts, users) to develop and implement automated business processes.

·       Have 1 year of experience working with front line clients in service delivery-based organizations.

·       Have 3 years of experience working with an agile team using scrum methodologies.

·       Have experience working effectively with non-technical end users as relates to testing, including writing business test cases, conducting functional testing, and supporting UAT.

·       Experience providing business analysis related to integrated custom applications with complex business processes.

·       Must have knowledge of BC Registries and Digital Services.



Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

·       Ability to lead multi-discipline teams in conducting facilitation towards new requirements.

·       Gathering, development of new business processes, continuous process improvements and appropriate documentation.

·       Have created and delivered training to customers on the items listed in the mandatory sections.

·       Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and documentation including business cases, business requirements documents, use cases or process flows diagramming.

·       Have experience with usability issues and web-based applications.

·       Must have knowledge of BC Registries and Digital Services.

 

Preferable Requirements:

·       Previous experience with BC Registries Modernization Initiative will be an asset.

·       Have created technical documentation, diagrams and RFCs.

·       Have experience writing release communications.

·       Have knowledge of application design and development life cycle; and all aspects of IT security.
