Marmon is now seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Supplier Management to support leveraged spend activities within our Strategy & Continuous Improvement team. This newly created role will serve as the primary Marmon representative to the largest and most strategic suppliers within the Marmon Marketplace and will advance Marmon’s leveraged spend effort by managing supplier relationships, performance, and contracts. In addition to managing Marmon’s supplier network, this role will also lead supply chain projects, develop/organize/monitor analytics, organize leveraged spend contracts, and inform sourcing strategy. Reporting directly to Marmon’s Vice President of Leveraged Spend, this will be a highly visible and essential role within the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary Marmon representative to all core suppliers within the Marmon Marketplace and be accountable for supplier onboarding, supplier performance management, and performance tracking; develop supplier level growth strategies to significantly contribute to marketing and outreach plans
  • Serve as a key stakeholder to support Marmon’s individual business units and take appropriate steps to mitigate supplier risk; collect and communicate core operational challenges and opportunities; collaborate with management on global program strategy
  • Drive continuous improvement across Marmon’s leveraged spend supplier network, resulting in increased business unit participation.
  • Lead supplier renewal and amendment negotiations and work to provide input and strategy to support category reviews
  • Develop and manage custom integration plans that enable suppliers to further integrate with appropriate internal business units, increasing the supplier and leveraged spend relevance
  • Develop systems, processes, and procedures to ensure all suppliers are performing against their contractual obligations, including price and service level agreements
  • Develop analytics and reporting necessary to prepare monthly forecast of program performance, savings, and rebates
  • Manage business unit/supplier conflict and provide support to all Marmon business units in enforcing contract terms and conditions
  • Develop and execute ad-hoc projects that support the development and growth of Marmon’s Leveraged Spend strategy
  • Develop and present reporting as requested by management
  • Develop tools to enhance Marmon’s supply chain analytics

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field of study
  • Previous experience in supply chain, procurement, finance and/or relevant operations role
  • 10+ years in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement.
  • 5+ years of project management experience with the demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Comprehensive understanding of purchasing fundamentals such as negotiating, contract management, and supply chain management
  • Ability to extract meaningful information from data and suggest action for improvement based on data insights
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Sense of ownership and pride in personal performance and its impact on the Company’s success
  • Superior critical thinking skills with the ability to create effective and timely solutions
  • Excellent time management skills

Pay Range:

108,750.00 - 181,250.00
