ALSAC’s Internship Program offers an immersive experience where interns dive into our culture, contribute to organizational goals through meaningful projects, and build relationships with team members and senior leadership. Over the course of 10 weeks, interns are paired with a day-to-day manager and given significant assignments, gaining a true understanding of what it means to be part of ALSAC/St. Jude. ALSAC Summer Intern Innovation Project: Throughout the internship, interns will connect with innovators across ALSAC, learning the art of Design Thinking. Working in teams, they will engage in creative sessions and prepare to present their projects to ALSAC’s CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Start Date: June 2, 2025
End Date: August 8, 2025
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: $14/hour
Work Location: 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or Remote

Specific Internship Job Description:
As a digital design intern, you are responsible for strategy, creation, design and monitoring of digital designs to support digital marketing efforts. This includes designs on stjude.org, email, social media, digital ads and other media consumed on a screen. This role should ensure that the user experience (UX) is at the forefront of the design while being inclusive and leading with mobile first designs. This role should also be involved with and/or aware of relevant user testing, audience research, user journey mapping and other testing involved in the campaign and design they are contributing to. The digital design intern evaluates new methods of design and keeps up with design trends while staying relevant with the current design applications. Content and design should be relevant to each program, audience, and segment(s), adhere to ALSAC’s organizational brand standards and maintain AP style.
Job Purpose
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including fundraising partners, Brand, Performance Marketing, and team members, to assist with planning, creating, and optimizing campaigns that align with the overall marketing strategy and organizational goals.
Participates in the Marketing Process (kick-off meetings, strategy sessions, creative workshops and analytics reporting).
Involved with user testing of designs and content to ensure the right content is being served to the right audience.
Adhere to ALSAC’s organizational brand standards, ALSAC’s digital brand standards, industry best practices and AP style.
Requires ability to learn how to design from prototypes to live websites using a content management system (CMS).
Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign is preferred. Acceptable to have experience in other design software applications like Figma, Sketch, Canva and have the ability to learn Adobe Creative software.
Projects include website design, digital ad design, social media design, email design, designing live webpage content using a content management system (Adobe Experience Manager)
Task/projects include working with our fundraising campaigns such as Thanks and Giving, Music Gives, Dream Home, Fitness programs, High Wealth audiences, Merchandise Marketing and many more.
Majors preferred: Graphic Design, Digital Design, additional design/art majors
Skills preferred: Social Media content creation, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager or Content Management System experience, Microsoft Suite. Excellent writing and communication skills are required. Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus
