This is a remote position.
- The fundamentals and frameworks of Cybersecurity GRC (i.e., NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR etc.).
- Risk assessment methodologies in the context of cybersecurity
- GRC tools and software including other emerging technologies in GRC
- AI and Machine Learning in GRC
- Information security, Incident Response, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
- Regularly update the curriculum to stay aligned with evolving industry standards and student needs.
- At least 7 years of experience in Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance within the cybersecurity space.
- Proven experience with risk assessment, policy development, regulatory compliance, and auditing within an IT environment.
- At least 5 years of experience teaching cybersecurity GRC in boot-camps, colleges, or universities (proof required).
- GRC certifications such as CGRC, CISA, CRISC, or similar are highly desirable.
- Certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are a plus.
- University degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Proficiency with industry-standard GRC frameworks and regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
- Familiarity with GRC tools, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and other relevant technologies.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat landscapes, risk management, and incident response.
- Exceptional ability to formulate, communicate, and deliver complex concepts in a pragmatic, simple and engaging manner.
- Strong mentorship skills with demonstrated success in coaching students.
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for driving student success.
