This is a remote position.

Job Purpose
Are you passionate about breaking down complex cybersecurity concepts and empowering students to apply them in real-world scenarios? If so, this role is for you! As a Cybersecurity GRC Instructor, you’ll equip students with the critical knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) aspects of cybersecurity, addressing key industry needs and closing gaps in the job market. You will deliver engaging, hands-on training in risk management, regulatory frameworks, and compliance best practices, ensuring students are prepared to excel in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape and pursue successful careers in this high-demand field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging, hands-on virtual classes on topics such as:
  1. The fundamentals and frameworks of Cybersecurity GRC (i.e., NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR etc.).
  2. Risk assessment methodologies in the context of cybersecurity
  3. GRC tools and software including other emerging technologies in GRC
  4. AI and Machine Learning in GRC
  5. Information security, Incident Response, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
  6. Regularly update the curriculum to stay aligned with evolving industry standards and student needs.
  • Partner with leadership to evolve the current curriculum and identify opportunities for new programs.
  • Drive the development of innovative training strategies that maximize student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Director of Product Innovation to align instructional goals with company objectives.
  • Engage with students, alumni, and industry experts to ensure programs are aligned with market demands.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Professional Experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance within the cybersecurity space.
  • Proven experience with risk assessment, policy development, regulatory compliance, and auditing within an IT environment.
  • Teaching Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience teaching cybersecurity GRC in boot-camps, colleges, or universities (proof required).
  • Certifications and Education
  • GRC certifications such as CGRC, CISA, CRISC, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are a plus.
  • University degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with industry-standard GRC frameworks and regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
  • Familiarity with GRC tools, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and other relevant technologies.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat landscapes, risk management, and incident response.
  • Soft Skills
  • Exceptional ability to formulate, communicate, and deliver complex concepts in a pragmatic, simple and engaging manner.
  • Strong mentorship skills with demonstrated success in coaching students.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for driving student success.
