The Senior Financial Planning Analyst is a key contributor on the Accounting and Finance team. Through taking ownership of the development and management of comprehensive financial planning models, this role supports the organization’s long-term fiscal health and sustainability. This role reports directly to the Chief of Staff, while working closely with the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
Provide oversight and review of monthly accounting process including revenue flash, expenses flash, department spending and EBITDA review.
Maintain strong relationships with Valiantys Federal departments and executives to identify needs. Provide business solutions and improvements to internal financial processes.
Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial results. Provide detailed analyses of financial activities, performs financial planning, and develops financial models to that end.
Evaluate the impact of long-range planning, new programs, and strategies.
Develop sophisticated financial budgeting and planning models. Prepare and manage the monthly projections and quarterly forecasting.
Assist with preparation of the monthly and quarterly financial Board packages.
Oversee the budget process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Assist with monthly bookings, and associated processes, for DevSecOps, Managed Hosting, and Professional Services.
Construct and perform various financial analysis, including gross margin and sales efficiency measures (e.g., lifetime values and customer acquisition cost payback).
Cash flow forecasting, Capex spending, and risk management.
Assess mergers and acquisitions, and development related financial models.
Project-level financial analysis of Federal and Commercial contracts, in delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required. Master’s degree/MBA is preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial analysis (P&L and Working Capital), or relevant experience, is required.
ERP and CRM experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and CRM is preferred.
Experience in the Technology or Professional Services industry is preferred. Government Contracting experience is a plus.
Strong forecasting skills with the ability to understand, and convey, the impact of business decisions on P&L.
Proven ability to apply finance and accounting expertise in business facilitation and compliance.
Ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders to support the organization’s strategic goals and needs.
Captivated by fiscal efficiency and financial modeling. Capable of utilizing past experiences and case studies to enhance processes, interpret risks, and recommend best practices.
