About the Role (your why)  

 

The Learning and Development Advisor is responsible for assisting the Manager – ANZ Learning and Organisational Development and the broader team in planning, developing, implementing and administering development and training programs for Datacom employees. This role ensures that employees have the skills required to do their jobs safely, mitigate risk, increase business effectiveness and increase employee development without adversely impacting on organisational productivity.

 

What you’ll do   

 

  • Leading the development and delivery of learning and development initiatives in line with the broader Datacom strategy.
  • Collaborating with leaders and key stakeholders to identify key capability needs and priorities.
  • Leading the design, development, delivery and measurement of effective learning solutions.
  • Communication and promotion of learning and development initiatives across the organisation.
  • Managing efficient and effective learning and development administration processes and programme management.
  • Being actively involved in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
  • Collating and analysing people data and providing recommendations to management on strategies to improve employee engagement and training initiatives.
  • Ensuring learning and development initiatives are in line with the business objectives, aligned to budget expectations to achieve planned targets.

 

What you’ll bring  

 

  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary learning methodologies.
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills (virtual & in person) with the ability to ensure learning objectives are met.
  • Learning content and programme design in a variety of modalities.
  • Experience with learning systems (LMS & LXP)
  • Significant experience with identifying, developing and deploying a wide range of employee initiatives within a complex industry. 4+ years of Human Resource/corporate training experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and implementing organisational learning and development initiatives.
  • Experience in co-designing solutions with key stakeholders to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Sound understanding of the business strategy, with an ability to grasp the big picture.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting learning methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Ability to frequently interact and influence with a variety of stakeholders and team members.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent writing ability and attention to detail
